Pourquoi la bourgeoisie une fois pour toute ne prend pas position (!?) Ce qu´on fait de "commentaires" à la radio contre la classe "mulâtre" est aussi grave qu´au Ruanda, d’après ce que m’a dit un journaliste allemand...
D´ailleurs je ne comprends pas la "passivité" des mulâtres. Pourquoi la "classe bourgeoise " ne fait-elle pas aussi une manifestation à Miami (! ?)
Le grand drame de "L’Armée d´Haiti" a eté la révocation des officiers Haitiens selon leur apartenance sociales ou politiques....(!) Voulons nous délivrer ce pays à des "mystiques " de gauche ou de droite ...(?)
Veut-on que l´économie haitienne soit dans la main des étrangers qui ont la protection de leurs ambassades (?) ou des bateaux de guerre...(?)

Je te remercie infiniment d'avoir reproduit sur le COIN DE CARL du 25 Mai, 2005, "QUELQUES PROPOS DE L'AMBASSADEUR SONNY SÉRAPHIN DIGNES D’ÊTRE RETENUS".
Je suis profondément touché par ta gentillesse et cette marque de SOLIDARITÉ agissante de ta part.
Dans ces propos, j'ai essayé de m'expliquer à un internaute qui questionnait le bien fondé de ma "LETTRE DE PROTESTATION" adressée à Mr. Paul Gustave Magloire, conseiller spécial du premier ministre Gérard Latortue, du fait que je n'ai pas accès à mon ambassade à Taiwan, bien qu'étant le seul citoyen haitien résidant ici.
Je proteste donc et je continuerai à protester jusqu'à satisfaction le fait que mon gouvernement, le gouvernement Alexandre-Latortue me traîte comme un "PARIA", a l'instar des gouvernements Préval et Aristide.
Avec Latortue et les malfecteurs et parasites qu'il a amenés avec lui, rien n'a changé. Au contraire, la situation s'est terriblement détériorée et aggravée.
Dans le texte que t'a envoyé ta grande amie Lyssa, c'est justement le sentiment exprimé par ce policier de la MINUSTAH qui, quittant Haiti en fin de Mission, a décrit une situation très grave, décourageante et dégoûtante qui ne saurait laisser indifférents que les irresponsables.
Lyssa, elle, n'est pas restée indifférente. Lyssa que j'ai bien connue comme etant le symbole de la joie et de la gaiete, de l'innocence et de la vie, ce qelle restera toujours bien sure, s'inquiète. Elle demande de prier. Aussi, Je la rejoins ainsi que tous les autres compatriotes qui sont entrain de prier avec un coeur sincère pour que la paix puisse un jour régner en Haiti.
Plus que jamais Carl, nous devons rester attachés à nos bons souvenirs. Récemment ton ami Louis-Ferdinand Schmid t'écrivait de l'Allemagne pour demander si quelqu'un sur le Coin De Carl connaissait ces 3 "ILLUSTRES BOHÉMIENS", c'est moi qui ajoute: LOCHARD, CARL BROUARD, et TI-PARIS.
Il arrive que je les ai connus tous les 3, et qu'ils représentent chacun une période déterminée de ma vie:
LOCHARD,
C'est mon enfance. Il est à toutes les fêtes du quartier: qu'il s'agisse de baptême, de première communion, d'anniversaire de naissance ou de marriage, et surtout s'il s'agit de marriage. Bien sure qu'il n'etait jamais invité, mais n'empêche qu'il était toujours l'un des premiers à arriver. "Men Locha!"
CARL BROUARD,
c'est mon adolescence: la période rebelle en classes secondaires, plus précisément la troisième et la seconde, cette période ou se développe ma conscience sociale et politique, cette période ou je découvre que le problème d'Haiti est à l'intérieur de chaque haitien et nulle part d'autre.
La période ou j'ai compris qu'Haiti ne changera pas tant que l'haitien lui-même ne changera. Et je m'engagerai à coté de beaucoup d'autres jeunes dans cette lutte pour ce changement qui passait nécessairement par notre propre changement personnel d'abord: d'ou la naissance de differents mouvements de jeunes, en particulier la création des RALLYES: des club de jeunes qui s'étaient donnés pour tâche de nous inculquer une nouvelle formation, une nouvelle vision de nos responsabilites.
Il me peine de constater que 50 ans plus tard nous en sommes là, dans un pire état qu'avant. En même temps, nous devons nous consoler et nous dire que ce n'est qu'un incident de parcours, puisque l'histoire d'un pays ne s'écrit pas seulement sur 2 siècles. Haiti n'est qu'à ses premiers jours. Haiti a une longue vie devant elle. Les générations à venir, dans les temps à venir, sauront sans aucun doute relever le défit.
De CARL BROUARD, je retiens "AFRIQUE" que tu as si bien illustre. Je retiens "VOUS", mon poème préféré que je peux réciter encore par coeur; et finalement "NOUS" ou Carl Brouard livre au monde son coeur de BOHÉMIEN:
"NOUS LES POÈTES, LES EXTRAVAGANTS, LES FOUS. NOUS QUI AIMONS TOUT: LA LIQUEUR FORTE, LES FEMMES, LA NUDITÉ MOUVANTE DES TABLES OU S'ÉRRIGE PHALLUS, LE CORNET A DÉ. NOUS AU COEUR PUISSANT COMME DES MOTEURS...
etc. Je m'arrete ici, je recitais de mémoire. Je ne me souviens pas du reste.
A la tombée de la nuit, j'attendais parfois Carl Brouard, au coin des "TROIS BÉBÉS", pas loin de chez moi pour l'accompagner chez lui, dans cette maison qui faisait la limite de Turgeau. Je ne comprenais pas trop bien ce qu'il disait, mais je me sentais tellement fier et heureux d'etre en compagnie de Carl Brouard, le Grand Poète Bohémien.
Quant à TI-PARIS, j'aurais pu écrire tout un livre à son sujet. Découvrir Ti-Paris, danser Ti-Paris, chanterTi-Paris c'était un passage obligé pour ma génération, celle des années 60. Quelle bonheur d'être invité dans une fête ou jouait Ti-Paris! Il viendra aussi un jour ou nous organisions nos propres fêtes avec lui. Au fait Ti-Paris ne nous a jamais quitté et
ne nous quittera jamais. Aujourd'hui encore nos enfants et petits enfants chantent et dancent Ti-Paris.
Ti-Paris et tous les troubadours comme lui sont là pour rester grâce aux efforts des jeunes entrepreneurs Jean Marc Apollon et Fabrice Rouzier, si je ne me trompe. Ils ont à leur crédit d'avoir lancé le mouvement "TROUBADOUR" qui compte déja au moins 3 CD.
JOSÉ TAVERNIER est le grand interprête de Ti-Paris avec les orquestres IBO LÉLÉ en Haiti et IBO COMBO à New York. Sur son Disque Souvenir célébrant ses 25 années dans la musique, il rend hommage à Ti-Paris et au Trio Select. Il rend également hommage à un artiste exceptionnel, un vrai troubadour et bohémien qui nous adorions tous, mais qui nous a quitté trop tôt: JACKY DUROSEAU.
J'ai donc eu l'occasion de danser Ti-Paris et en Haiti et à New York quand notre grand ami, défunt Toy Zenith que tu as aussi mentionné Carl, l'avait fait rentrer pour jouer avec mon groupe "IBO COMBO" au club CAMARADERIE logé dans un restaurant chinois transformé en club haitien le Samedi soir. Je suis certain de réveiller ici de beaux souvenirs chez beaucoup de fanatiques du COIN CE CARL qui s'y rendaient régulièrement.
Non Carl, je ne suis pas musicien, mais je reconnais avoir le coeur musicien. Je reconnais surtout être un BOHÉMIEN comme LOCHARD, comme CARL BROUARD, et comme TI-PARIS.

Tu as "génialement" dit pour beaucoup de nous. Ton humanisme et ton idéal sont transparents. Tes souvenirs de Toy Zénith, qui a représanté Ti-Paris avec moi à New York dans les années 70, étaient touchants; nous avions fait trembler New York: "Toyota," ton serviteur et notre entourage!
Quant à tes autres souvenirs sentimentaux, on ne peut que les embrasser. J’ai un nouveau titre pour toi: "Ambassadeur de la Franche Amitié." Ambassadeur une fois, Ambassadeur pour la vie.

Why cover inmates, Carl ? These are people who have committed murder and other high crimes. Some deserve the death penalty. Why publicize these people (these animals)? There should be no pity or recognition of these people.

Thank you for your input. If moun.com gets the credit for those flags on my site more power to the owner of the site moun, my friend Georges Sami Saati. He deserves it.
Regarding the reason why I cover inmates who have commited murder and other high crimes, with some who certainly deserve the death penalty: With all due respect, I believe you missed my point.
I explained why I did interview them, and will continue to do so. I took at face value what inmates Patsy L. Jones, Sarah B. Allen, Jessica L. Carter, and Georgia R. Miller told me. None of them had the victim’s syndrome.
" We are living in a manipulating world
and prisons are a reflection of our lives in a free society. Not once did I feel out of place with those women. They spoke their hearts out and fate could have it that my mother or my daughters could be in their place. I was not there to judge them but to listen, and I understand that Society has an obligation not only to them but also to their victims. Crime cannot be left unpunished, but the delicate line is the final decisions by the courts and juries of this big country which will affect us all."
These interviews are done in the hope that they may open the eyes of other youngsters from getting into the same sort of trouble, and to help parents in preventing this happening to their children. Those inmates that I interviewed accepted full blame for their actions. However, if someone like Jessica L. Carter received 35 years with no parole for vehicular homicide, I am interested in knowing the circumstances.
If those inmates’ wasted lives help someone else from falling into the same pitfalls, it is a sort of payback and Society will benefit in general. Much better, otherwise, than rotting behind four walls, and to the benefit of no one. If I succeed through those interviews in saving only one life, I will have accomplished my mission.
Sunday 29 May 2005 is "Mother’s Day" in Haiti, and I realized that anyone of these women could have been my mother. In her memory, that’s the least I could do as my small contribution to a troubled world.
It costs the State of Florida close to $50.00 dollars a day per inmate to keep those people in jail. Multiply 2,047 inmates in the Homestead Maximum Institution alone by 50, and this will give you an idea of the staggering daily cost to the taxpayer. We may as well put that money to good use.
