What about "Mr. Tuesday 9 o’clock man ?" Not a bad idea, but longevity in this business is fragile.

Hello Carl,

How are you? It was good to see you and Rachel at the movie Premiere of Kidnappings. I do not know what the movie was like before, but we enjoyed it.

The acting was excellent. Mecca aka Grimmo did an excellent job portraying his character "Jacques". We look forward to more projects with this talented individual.

About Jews being in Haiti this is yet another great historical fact that we must continue to share with our future generations. I, for one, graduated from elementry school in a Jewish Temple and was known as the HAP (Haitian American Princess).

RECEIVED ON THE "CDC" FROM J.S. ALEXIS

Carl,

We, Haitians, have the tendency of accepting anything that someone says about our leaders as long as the words being spoken are against our political enemies. A leader of any country who is democratically elected is the reflexion of the people of that country. They chose him to lead because he represents their voice, their belief and their aspiration.

The American corporate press has done a good job in demonizing the Haitian people and his leaders, therefore nothing that came out of this medium should be of any value to us.They are all lies, lies and lies.

The American press and people like Michael Deibert of Reuters went to Haiti to look for dirt and would find some because of the suffering of people who would say and do anything for a few bucks.

Why is it that nothing bad is said in the mainstream American media about Latortue and Co? It is American chosen, therefore it is good. Why is Guy Phillipe and Co are not in Jail? It is American used, therefore they are not criminals.

Why is Emmanuel "ToTo" Constant of FRAPH is living in New-York with no fear? He was used by the American C.I.A,therefore he is good man.Why is Jean Claude Duvalier who was in the Drug dealing business never being accused of Drug dealing? There was no need to accuse him of anything because he was on the American side.He would have been in power today if the people of Haiti did not rise up against him.

Who are in jail or in exile today? The leaders of the masses with no charges against them: Yvon Neptune, Father Jean-Juste, So Anne and so on.
I sound like a "Lavalassien" don't I?

With that kind of speech , I have been branded as Lavalassien by friends and family. My response to my critics is that: I am a concerned Haitian and an independent thinker, if I sound like a Lavalassien, therefore being Lavalas must be a good thing.

Once again, Haitian people, open your eyes and know your true enemies.American military help and the U.N never came to our help when we had true Dictators. They supported them by selling them arms and munitions to kill us.It is a different world and we must protect our own interest because no one else will do it for us.

Triumph of Self-interest in Corrupted Haiti

Publication: The Minnesota Daily

Date: November 21, 2005

Author: David Doherty

I always read about Haiti written in the United States with the jaded eye of someone who has lived and worked in rural Haiti for almost four years. I was not in the Presidential Palace when Jean-Bertrand Aristide accepted a "woulib" (free ride) from the U.S. Marines, hence I cannot comment on the competing scenarios of abdication or abduction.

I do feel the need to dispel the urban myth that continues to be foisted upon the American public by Kevin Pina, Ira Kurzban and others who are blinded to the truth either by ideology or because they are paid performers.

In November 16's "Love him or Haiti him, Pina comes to town," Christopher Larson describes Haiti as "a society where the masses want the return of their rightful president and the reinstatement of their government." It's a nice catchphrase, but it does not reflect the reality I have experienced.

Outside of the poorest slums in Port-au-Prince, support for Aristide is razor thin at best. Even in the communities where his support is believed to be strongest, those loyalties are based on a misguided belief that Aristide cares about anyone other than Aristide. What is more certain is that this loyalty is immediately transferable to any personality who preaches a populist message. If one leaves the confines of Port-au-Prince and travels to other areas where 70 percent of the population lives, Aristide and the Lavalas movement are completely discredited.

One anecdotal fact says more a lot about the state of democracy. The most popular figure in the country is Jean-Claude Duvalier. Just as many in Russia wax sentimental for the "good old days of Stalinism," Haitians are drawn to the relative stability of an autocracy. Aristide and the Lavalas movement were a revolution in name only. In practice, it was more of the same corruption and human rights abuses that have characterized Haiti throughout its 200 years of independence.

Haiti will still bleeds after the next electoral exercise because whichever person assumes the mantle of leadership, we can be certain of one thing: Self-interest will trump national interest. Nothing will change because none of the 35 approved candidates represent a broad constituency or have shown the slightest interest in galvanizing the population. They preach populism when Haiti needs pragmatism.

All those who are already gone are still living in us.

Etant donnÉ que l’on parlait des Juifs de descendance Haitienne, DANS LE CDC D’HIER JE SOUMETS CI-JOINT LA LETTRE D’UNE AMIE SUR LE MÊME SUJET.

Mon cher Carl,

A bientôt.

Ana

BON, E POU MWEN FINI ZANMI MWEN YO.

Opozisyon ap sote ponpe pontifie nan tout kan… Tout moun ap mande pouvwa e yap fe pwop kondision yo.

Men tout bon mwen pa kwè pral genyen okin konpwomi.
