Your kindness to inform Mr. Simeus that a voluntary group of good faith Chilean expert in clean water technology will be going to Haiti soon to help with such project was publicly announced last night December 25 on TV Chile (Television Nacional de Chile).
Chile is one of the very few countries in Latin America that did not want to import African slaves. The first UN troops to arrive in Haiti and Chile's President Lagos took time of his busy schedule to visit HAITI. Santiago has the traditional famous coffee bistros called CAFE HAITI.
In fact I was near Punta Arena & Tierra del Fuego next to South Pole and bought a coffee bag marked CAFE HAITI. For years they had bought Haitian coffee until production for export ceased. Chile also has allways received Haitian students and delegations with open arms.
In 1998 Chile's big fruit export association "COPE FRUIT" was very much interested in a joint venture and have me put a plant to package gift basket of fruits and wine in the “Ile de la Gonave” inside a free trade zone, in order to re-export to all cruise ships. Unfortunaly, Haitian politicians of that time were more interested about their personal benefits than that of creating jobs for Haitians.
I am Chilean by heart and my wife is Chilean by birth. I admire tremendously Chile's economic achievement that started with the Chicago boys’ economic models.
We hope that the new leader in Haiti will understand the tremendous business opportunity that exists in international business.

BENITO Martínez Abogán a.k.a Avion, apparently the oldest man in the world, lives in Cuba. He was born in Haiti on June 19, 1880, and has lived through the end and beginning of two millennia. According to his immigration documents, he is now 125. He was born on a Monday, at 4 a.m., in the mountains of Cavaillon, Haiti the same day that one of his sisters died of hunger.

De nombreuses parties de ses allégations ont été tirées d’un
seul et même article, rédigé par un pseudo journaliste,
Brian CONCANNON, qui a totalement déformé le moindre de mes
propos et qui fait de moi un personnage à des années
lumières des valeurs qui sont réellement les miennes.
De telles allégations sont répétées et amplifiées par un
journaliste du Miami Herald, Joe MOZINGO, qui manque a tous
les devoirs de sa profession en relayant de pseudo-scoop,
sans le moins du monde recouper ses sources, ni même prendre
la peine de solliciter ma réaction face à ses propos
diffamatoires...
Brian CONCANNON, quand à lui, est en fait un sombre
personnage, car en effet s’il se présente aujourd’hui comme
appartenant à une ONG, il fut surtout l’un des avocats du
dictateur J.B. ARISTIDE, à la chute duquel je fus l’un des
principaux contributeurs.
Malheureusement pour moi, c’est une information dont je n’ai
eu connaissance que lorsque ce monsieur eut commencé à
répandre ses contrevérités à travers la planète via
internet.
Je trouve particulièrement inquiétant que de si nombreux
sites reproduisent de tels propos sans le moindre exercice
journalistique de vérification de leurs sources, d’autant
plus inquiétant que l’existence de toute bonne démocratie
nécessite l’accès une information sûre, recoupée et fiable.
Je ne vous demande donc pas de me croire sur parole, mais je
vous invite, si cela vous est possible, à interroger des
personnes qui me connaissent réellement.
Moi-même, je suis tout à fait disposé à vous accorder une
interview par téléphone ou par e-mail, en vous assurant à
l’avance qu’il n’y a pour moi aucune question taboue.

Another year has gone by and we must be thankful. Some did not make it. We still pray for them. To you and your family Happy Holidays and all the best for the New Year. Happy Kwanzaa ,I know within the Haitian culture we are not familiar with Kwanzaa.
If I may share some information please: Kwanzaa is a non-religious Holiday. It is a time when "African-Americans" or people of African descent join together to honor the traditions and culture of their ancestors. Planning on the year to come and working on ways to make themselves a better people and their community a better community are important parts of the holiday.
Kwanzaa is a celebration of the past, the present and the future. It was founded by Dr. Maulana Karenga a professor at California State University, Long Beach, Ca. It is observed from December 26th to January 1st. During these seven days we celebrate the " Nguzo Saba". Nguzo Saba means "seven principles" in Swahili. Each principle of Kwanzaa has a different meaning. These principles/meanings are based on values and practices that we as people should carry out all year.
*1st day of Kwanzaa: UMOJA (Unity)-To work together in peace with our Family, our community, our nation, and our race. *2nd day of Kwanzaa: KUJICHAGULIA (Self Determination)- Deciding what we want and making goals for ourselves. *3rd day of Kwanzaa: UJIMA (Collective Work and Responsibility)- Working together as a community to solve problems and taking care of our neighborhood. *4th day of Kwanzaa-UJAMAA (Cooperative Economics)- This principle teaches the value of owning and operating our own business.
*5th day of Kwanzaa: NIA (Purpose)- A good purpose is to try to be the best that we can be and to help make our community great. *6th day of Kwanzaa: Kuumba (Creativity)- Making or doing something in our own unique way. Le journal NEWS-PRESS est le plus grand quotidien du COMTÉ de LEE en Floride si ce n'est l'unique. Il est l'équivalent du MIAMI HERALD dans le Comté de DADE ou du SUN SENTINEL dans le Comté de BROWARD.
NEWS- PRESS faut -il le rappeler est l'un parmi les 99 quotidiens détenus par le TRUST GANNET CO. Ces quotidiens sont éparpillés à travers 41 Etats des ETATS-UNIS. Citons entre autres USA
TODAY,NAPLES DAILY NEWS,FLORIDA TODAY etc..NEWS PRESS fondé en 1884 situé à FORT MYERS, la ville principale du Comté de LEE.
La capacité de production de ce quotidien s'élève à environ 100,000
exemplaires en semaine et à 150,000 en fin de semaine.Plusieurs Haitiens y travaillent .Ces derniers se retrouvent surtout dans la section PRODUCTION comme inséreurs.
J'ai intégré NEWS PRESS comme inséreur. Le JOURNAL parfois
utilise ma compétence dans d'autres travaux notamment quand il faut traduire un texte de l'Anglais au Français ,de l'Anglais au Créole haitien. Il faut dire qu' ici à FORT MYERS le Créole haitien est plus puissant que le Français. Les statistiques le prouvent bien.
Plus de 73 langues y sont parlées . Le Créole est classé 3ème après l'Anglais et l'Espagnol en nombre de locuteurs.Alors les responsables du Journal en sont conscients est-ce pourquoi lors de l'orientation quand je me presentais la Vice Présidente du Journal, Kate MARYMONT, m'a vite demandé une entrevue à son bureau . J'y ai été et elle m'a fait part de ses préoccupations .
Kate Marymont m'a avoué qu'elle recherchait une connection entre la COMMUNAUTÉ HAITIENNE et le JOURNAL. Elle m'a dit que je représente la personne idéale. J'ai vite accepté. Déja je commence à travailler. Cependant mon désir le plus pressant est d'avoir un
supplément en Français ou en Créole à l'instar de celui en ESPAGNOL la
GACETA TROPICAL afin de permettre à un plus grand nombre d'Haitiens de profiter du contenu de cet enrichissant quotidien.

La femme « mûre » sait accepter les différences de goût, d’elle et son compagnon, sans essayer de les manipuler à sa faveur.
La femme « mûre » n’hésite pas à faire les éloges de son compagnon, étant généreuse, elle sait la valeur de se sentir apprécier.
La femme « mûre » n’essaie pas de se venger avec les mêmes armes que son compagnon car elle comprend la douleur que cela déclenche, et combien une phrase ou un geste malheureux peuvent-être inopportuns.
La femme « mûre » ne craint pas de dire la vérité d’une facon claire et sereine sans masquer ses sentiments, mais sans non plus heurter son compagnon.
La femme « mûre » n’a pas besoin d’espionner son compagnon car un simple regard de ce dernier suffit pour lui dévoiler son âme.
La femme « mûre » a appris à interpréter la vie, elle connaît sa place, elle aime simplement et se laisse aimer.
