DUVALIER PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti -- Exiled dictator Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier apologized for "wrongs" committed under his rule and urged supporters to rally around his fringe political party during a rare address delivered on Haitian radio over the weekend. The comments marked Duvalier's first public address in years and come amid a quiet campaign by his supporters to see their leader returned from exile in France. In a speech recorded from Paris, Duvalier said history will be the judge of his 15-year dictatorship, which is widely blamed for killing and torturing opponents and pilfering the national treasury. "If, during my presidential mandate, the government caused any physical, moral, or economic wrongs to others, I solemnly take the historical responsibility ... to request forgiveness from the people and ask for the impartial judgment of history," Duvalier said. Duvalier's regime came to an abrupt end on Feb. 7, 1986 when he fled the country during a popular uprising, and he's been notably quiet during his years in exile. He did not say if he if would seek to return to his homeland.

a successful experience. By Jean H Charles I travel to Dominica two to three times a year, religiously around the 1st of November to attend the Creole festival cum Independence Day. The trip from Melville Hall (the airport) to Roseau, the Capital is an experience that warrants an additional fee for the excursion. Indeed for almost an hour, you go through a majestic rain forest that leave the native unconcerned but keeps the travel connoisseur in awe to admire the splendor of the biodiversity of the island. Dominica has been able to conserve its trees and its forest in a manner that has picked the curiosity of Christopher Columbus when he saw the island from afar. It is said, for a long time the Caribs did not hesitate to eat any foreigner who dare to set foot on firm land; but this is a material for another essay. It is refreshing to report that the Haitian migration to Dominica is a happy and humbling experience. It started with the smugglers using Dominica was a way station to bring in Haitians women to Martinique and Guadeloupe as maid or service workers. From the Dominican Republic there was no visa requirement to enter Dominica; by posting a bond of $400.00 the smugglers use Dominica to ferry at night the young Haitian women from Portsmouth (Dominica second town) to Martinique. In one of my trip, I have bursted into a holding house where dozens of young Haitian women were cased in like sardines as if they were in the old slave boat waiting to be sold by their masters. I was flagabersted to see that the operation could be run in the open with the master smuggler conducting her business with impunity with the tacit knowledge of the public. Some two international incidents later, the Dominican government took steps to stop the human traffic and force the Haitians to make a decision. Either choose to belong to the adopted country or be deported. Since then, the Haitians have settled firmly in Dominica. The integration has been easy, Creole is spoken widely in the island, the culture is almost the same, the food staple is familiar and even the music has the same African-Brittany roots. The President of Dominica told me that his gardener (a Haitian man) shares his discarded law books. The Mayor of Roseau has a land share arrangement with a Haitian migrant. They have brought their agricultural skills to Dominica helping the country to improve and to build their crop. Always entrepreneurial the Haitians have opened several business ventures such as barber shop, tailoring, restaurant and art shop. The Haitian artists contribute with their paintings the enchanting panorama that confuses art and reality. The Dominican women have told me, they have found the Haitian man responsible, hard worker and excellent mate. There are around 4000 Haitian migrants in Dominica with a population of some 80.000 natives. It is pleasant to report that the relationship between these newcomers is evolving admirably with no conflict and no hard feeling. The Haitians have brought to Dominica the strength of the Creole culture which is almost a material for a museum though in full display on Creole Day around the Independence fiesta season. In a sea of inhospitality where the Haitians are mistreated from Bahamas to Jamaica, the model of Dominica is indeed a refreshing one. It is the business of the Haitian government to render Haiti a place hospitable for its own people, in the meantime, Haitians will continue to flock to friendlier settings in search of a better life. Dominica, its people and its government should be inscribed in the Haitian National Frontispiece as a benefactor who like Lady Liberty took in the tired, the poor huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the refuse of the teeming shore, the homeless and the tempest. She has welcomed the Haitians with open arms until Haiti becomes a nation hospitable to its own people.

Interesting coincidence. In the U.S. it’s, it’s known as Halloween but mostly celebrated by children.
Cuba expects more than two million tourists in 2007
HAVANA, Cuba (ACN): Cuba will receive more than two million tourists for the fourth consecutive year in 2007, it was announced by Cuban Tourism Deputy Minister Alexis Trujillo during the inauguration of the Sixth International Event on Tourism of Nature (TURNAT) that began on Tuesday in the easternmost city of Baracoa. Trujillo recalled that Cuba received two million tourists for the first time in 2004 and everything indicates that it will happen again this year. The TURNAT events, hosted by Cuba since 2000, contribute to the increase in the number of tourists who visit the island. The tourism official noted that Cuba has special potential to develop this form of tourism that is gradually becoming more and more popular worldwide. As an example, Trujillo cited Baracoa, which currently is one of the island's main attractions for eco-tourists, tour-operators and travel agencies from 13 countries, including solid markets of tourism of nature such as Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. During the 27th edition of the Tourism International Fair held last May in Havana, it was announced that between this year and 2010, there will be an investment of 170 million Cuban convertible pesos in the tourist sector that will benefit more than 200 facilities and will contribute to the modernization and revitalization of tourist products.
'NY party girl admits having HIV' (Be on guard...!)
When I received an e-mail from an associate yesterday, sending me a link to an article with the above title, I deleted it summarily. Because, frankly, I find news about a "NY party girl" contracting HIV about as interesting as news about a dog suffering flea bites. When I chatted with that associate a few hours later, however, I was genuinely shocked to learn that the newsworthy thing about the article was not the party girl contracting HIV. Instead, it was the fact that she was spreading it promiscuously amongst New York City’s “A-List sports and hip hop” celebrities, boasting of her conquests as if she were a rock star having her way with groupies; whereas, she’s nothing more than a psychopathic-wannabe star who should be arrested and prosecuted for intentionally causing grievous bodily harm by creating a substantial risk of death. Here, in part, is what she reportedly confessed (on the condition of anonymity) to MediaTakeOut.com, which I am reliably informed is the second-most popular celebrity gossip site on the Internet: “[In the past year] I've had a lot of one night stands. But I've also had what I consider to be relationships - like with [a current member of the NY Knicks], [a current player on the NJ Jets], and [an extremely popular Atlanta rapper]. I don't tell anyone I date that I'm [HIV] positive ... it's none of their business... I'll ask a man to put on a condom, but I'm not going to force him to put one on. It's his life and he can choose to do what he wants... And you'd be surprised at how many men refuse to wear a condom - especially when it comes to [oral sex]. Maybe when I get older I'll write a book about all that I've been through. But right now I'm just enjoying life and living day by day.” How’s that for a little insight into the delusional mind of a murderous psychopath! (Indeed, one wonders how much older she thinks she’ll get with her virus, and her even more deadly attitude...?) But a story like this behooves us to wonder how many HIV-positive women (and men) are perpetrating similar sex crimes throughout the Caribbean. After all, the incidence of HIV infections is far greater here than it is in the United States. And, more importantly, it should remind us of how critical it is to practice safe, if not monogamous, sex. That said, this story is rife with legal and ethical conflicts. But this is hardly the forum for a dissertation on them. Therefore, I shall suffice to offer just a few observations - laced with recommendations for HIV testing: It is a crime, in virtually every country, for an HIV-positive person to engage in unprotected sex without first disclosing this lethal information. If you know anyone who is perpetrating such sex crimes, you are morally, even if not legally, obligated to report that person to law enforcement authorities. If you are sexually active but have never been tested, you should be. In fact, if you are sexually-active, you should be tested for HIV on a regular basis (at least once a year). And this is especially so if you have more than one lover (or suspect that your lover is unfaithful). After all, I’m sure that none of us would want to put others at risk unwittingly, the way this NY party girl has done so wantonly. Finally, this story should be regarded as a public service announcement (PSA) about the lethal health risks of “hooking up” and cruising night-clubs for one night stands today the way people did during the AIDS-free days of the 1970s. Two years ago, I was accused of peddling a “barbaric Jewish practice” as scientific fact when I heralded the finding by Ugandan doctors that circumcision reduces the risk of contracting HIV infections dramatically. But since then, peer reviews have compelled every reputable medical and health organization in the world to endorse circumcision as “the most potent intervention in HIV prevention” available today. Therefore, it is with even greater confidence that I share this public service announcement, which is based on another pioneering finding by Ugandan doctors: Washing the penis minutes after sex increases the risk of acquiring HIV in uncircumcised men. Of course, I fully appreciate how counterintuitive this is. But it would be foolhardy (and potentially deadly) to intellectualize, or impute cultural biases to this surprising finding. Instead, I implore men -- especially those living in regions where HIV infections are prevalent (like the Caribbean and Sub-Saharan Africa) -- to take heed and “delay washing for at least 10 minutes after sex” as the doctors recommend. For the scientifically curious amongst you, however, here are the explanations lead researcher, Dr Fredrick E. Makumbi, offered for this extraordinary finding at an International AIDS Society Conference in Sydney, Australia last month: One is that the acidity of vaginal secretions may impair the ability of the AIDS virus to survive on the penis. Delayed cleansing -- and longer exposure to the vaginal secretions -- may then reduce viral infectivity. Another is that use of water, which has a neutral pH, may encourage viral survival and possible infectivity. Nevertheless, it might prove illuminating and instructive for me to cite an article I wrote last year entitled How sex makes smart men do stupid things. Because in it, I lamented the fact that Jacob Zuma testified at his trial for raping a woman (who he knew was HIV-positive) that: ...after having sex [he had] taken a shower because this would minimize the risk of contracting the disease. Clearly, this statement exposes Zuma as a suicidal sociopath. But who amongst us would have thought that jumping out of bed to wash after getting off could kill us...? Now consider the fact that Zuma is not only the deputy leader of South Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC) party, but also the country’s former deputy president and former head of its anti-AIDS campaign. Consider further that South Africa has more people living with HIV and dying from AIDS than any other country in the world; and, moreover, that Zuma is most likely to be elected its next president in 2009. Because only after considering these facts can you begin to appreciate why Zuma and South Africa loom so ominously in this context. Finally, notwithstanding this finding, let me hasten to remind all "promiscuous" men and women that condoms remain the best defense against contracting HIV (and other STIs). Indeed, this is why I utterly condemn religious groups for lobbying the US government to make humanitarian aid to poor countries conditioned on recipient governments preaching abstinence instead of providing sex education and condoms to combat this pandemic. That said, let me also hasten to disabuse men everywhere of the suspicion that this finding is nothing more than an elaborate ruse concocted by women to get us to stay put and cuddle after sex...

Haitian tale is now front page in yesterday’s Miami Herald regarding Columbians. A man walks down the beach carrying crabs in two buckets, one with a lid and one uncovered. A little girl asks why crabs that look the same are treated differently. The man says the American crabs are in the covered bucket, because when one finds a way out, the others follow. ''The Columbian crabs don't need a lid, because when one starts to get out the others bring him down…'' This was posted in yesterday’s front page Miami Herald regarding Columbians. This is a tale that I heard a long time ago in Haiti, regarding Haitians, too. In today’s world this story applies to others as well. Religion rules most countries… As for a little country such as Haiti, western civilization did not accept the Vodou religion which derives from Africa and did its best to suppress and replace it with other religious denominations of the Western world. Missionaries of those faiths still thrive in Haiti and some of them were informers for the American Central Intelligene Agency. Vodou in Haiti is a mixed bag of African gods, Jesus Christ and Catholic saints, uniquely Haitian. In the 1940s ,in Haiti, for a young Haitian student going to a Catholic school, run by European priests and brothers, Vodou was a no-brainer. Most Haitian school children of the so called Haitian elite going to private Catholic schools were brought up with western values and vodou which is practiced nationwide was put on a backburner. This is a reality. There was a different scale for the treatment of people based on color, class, religious background and social standing. In Miami, the Santeria, an Afro-Cuban religion is considered foreign to what America is all about mainly because of sacrifices of animals same as in Haitian Vodou. As for Islam, it's relatively a new religion on American soil. The perception that Americans have had with the Islamic faith lately is that of fanatical mobs in the Middle East. These images leave a wrong impression of Islam. Muslims actually live peacefully throughout the world, including the United States. Muslims working for UNICEF whom I have known and socialized with, brought a good deal of aid and assistance to the African continent. There are all types of Muslims racially; I have long-time Turkish Muslim friends with blond hair and blue eyes features. The founders of the American constitution wanted the U.S. governemnt to be free of religion. Even in those days, they saw the ravage of religion among the people on this planet. Over the years, we have witnessed in the United States the dominance of the Christian religious right in politics, education and customs. They have not always been victorious in their quest to impose their will in the U.S because of “America's” diversity. The solution for a peaceful world may be to go back to the founding fathers' desire of keeping religion private. If not, what's happening in most of the Middle East, Israel and other parts of the world due to religion, may very well become a poison in American life. A small sample of headlines shows religious warfare all over the world ... And the beat goes on. One still can believe in God and have no religion. Although not very religious, I found myself defending God against the religious faithful when the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked. They all wanted to know where was "God" that day. My answer was that "God" was present. On those four flights 1,000 passengers could have been booked, and yet, there was only a total of 266 people who were on board and died on those planes. In one of those doomed flights, "God" gave the passengers strength to fight the hijackers. The WORLD TRADE CENTER can hold more than 50,000 workers but, that day, less than half were present. Thanks to "God." The top of the towers could have toppled when they were hit, instead of imploding, and many more innocent lives would have been lost. Thanks to "God." Where was "God" on 9/11/2001? He was among all the New Yorkers of the world giving them strength to continue.

J'ai vu ce matin sur CNN un journaliste blanc ( je présume américain ) interviewant le Président Iranien Mahmoud et lui dire ceci : " Mr Le Président , ne riez pas . La question que je vous pose est sérieuse . Répondez-y : L'Iran , est-il sur le point de tenter d'agresser etc … "
Franchement ce ne fut pas poli de la part de ce Journaliste . Un journaliste interviewant un Président n'a pas à lui dire : Ne riez pas ! avant de répondre à une question posée . C'est impoli , arrogant et non professionnel , même si l'on se trouve en face d'une partie de l'Axis Of Evil …
On doit respecter au moins le rire de Mahmoud : c'est sa façon “relax” d'être .. sans cravate , surtout sans cravate ni rosette .

En effet, Lemane. J’ai assisté à cette interview sur la CNN. Ce journaliste Américain a dépassé les bornes; il me laissait l’impression d’être le représentant personnel de George W. Bush, et non un reporter.
Quant au sourire et rire de Mahmoud je n’y vois pas d’inconvénient; mieux vaut rire que pleurer… Quant à sa facon d’être … sans cravate ni rosette… pour arrondir les angles, je dirais que “les gouts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas.”

Mon cher Carl. Décidement, la gestion Duvalieriste devient l'hantise de ceux qui ont bénéficier ou souffert d'elle. Lemane Vaillant fait une liste bien détaillée des projets éxécutés et la création de certains bureaux qui réellement n'étaient autres choses qu'une manoeuvre politique ayant pour but la justification ou plutôt la dilapidation de nos maigres ressources. Il serait bien mieux de faire un exposé financier de chacun de ces bureaux mentionnés tout en faisant un rapport detaillé du bénéfice apporté à la communauté. Je n'ai pas l'intention de foisser Lemane dont les écrits sur d'autres sujets me sont agréables. J'aimerais quand-même qu'on me dise comment sous l'administration d'un président, médecin de profession, l'Hôpital Général tomba en chute libre après que de fortes sommes furent votées pour entretiens et aménagements ? Je suis avec un profond intérêt citoyen tout le débat auquel vous prenez part comme intervenant majeur et privilégié, étant historien, rédacteur de la constitution de 1987 et membre pressenti de la commission présidentielle devant statuer sur le retour ou non du pays au militarisme. En lisant sur le site de MétropoleHaïti votre propos en date du 19 octobre 2007 sur la nécessité de reconstituer la force armée en Haïti, pour selon vous, éviter que le gouvernement de la république ne soit renversé par des insurgés 18 mois après le départ la Minustah, la question à ce sujet est de savoir: à qui ont jamais profité les forces armées en Haïti? Bien au-delà de votre personne, je suis interpellé par toutes les vagues démontées de passions, les justifications tous azimuts par la sécurité dont l’armée serait la seule pourvoyeuse digne et attitrée, sans oublier les invocations de surveillance de l’intégrité territoriale conférant le statut de nécessité « nationale » à l’institution militaire… Je m’adresse à vous donc en tant qu’historien et personnalité ayant pris part à la rédaction de la constitution de 1987, par deux interrogations toutes simples. L’armée d’Haïti a-t-elle jamais dans l’histoire, respecté la constitution et les autorités civiles légalement constituées? Et quelle institution est-elle la parturiente de quasiment tous les renversements de gouvernement issu des urnes à travers l’histoire d’Haïti? La question doit être débattue en public tout en évitant les prêts à penser expéditifs, les stéréotypes militaristes ou antimilitaristes qui, les uns et les autres, voient les intervenants se figer dans une sorte d’introversion partisane aggravant l’incommunication sur le sujet par des apophtegmes d’adoption ou de rejet du militarisme. Pour communiquer valablement en brisant toute attitude univoque contreproductive, il nous faut donc placer la question dans l’espace public, c'est-à-dire la poser dans la presse au cœur de la société qui doit en dernier ressort accepter ou refuser la reconstitution de l’armée en Haïti. Pour ce faire, nul n’est autorisé à jouer les manipulateurs par des bobards historiens maquillés en vérité historique. Et ensuite, puisque la chose est d’intérêt strictement public et ne saurait être ni réduite à une affaire de crédo social de groupuscules ni tributaire de secteurs intéressés et déjà portés par leur appartenance de classe voire de « caste », à vouloir imposer l’institution militaire au pays, pourquoi ne pas aller à un référendum? Qui, ici, a peur du verdict de l’écrasante majorité des haïtiens? Je sais que mille subterfuges logiques ou juridiques, évoquant la reconnaissance de l’armée par la constitution de 1987, seront évoqués pour contourner ma proposition référendaire! Mais cela nous placerait sans souci du bien commun national, inutilement devant une aporie factice vainement entretenue par l’esprit procédurier et dilatoire de quelques-uns, puisqu’il est clair que la pire ennemie de toutes les constitutions jamais écrites et promulguées en Haïti, a été l’armée tout au long de nos deux siècles d’existence. Les faits, à ce sujet, formels et sans ombre, nous crient au visage, qu’après la révolution fondatrice de 1804 où elle l’a amorcé, l’armée a été l’instrument d’empêchement de l’État-Nation haïtien, par l’instabilité politique et la cruauté tyrannique dont elle fit montre au service d’intérêts toujours particuliers très rarement voire jamais nationaux. Si je considère vos arguments, de véritables arguties infantilisantes pour un homme instruit, historien de surcroît, l’armée aurait la vertu de prévenir l’Occupation étrangère du territoire. Le sérieux du débat pour le destin de la démocratie haïtienne et le respect de compatriote que je vous dois, m’empêche de m’esclaffer. Mais pouvez-vous proférer pareille énormité et ensuite prétendre être apte à conseiller sereinement le président de la république au sujet d’une éventuelle reconstitution ou non de l’armée? Car votre pathétique comparaison de l’armée qui aurait tenu 60 ans avant une seconde Occupation alors que la police n’aurait préservé le pays que 10 ans de l’actuelle Occupation est rocambolesque. Une simple analyse de l’histoire de cette armée inféodée aux Etats-Unis de 34 à 94 dévoile à qui veut saisir le sens de sa réussite, la vérité de l’évitement de l’occupation en ces 60 ans. Ce fut une armée d’Occupation sans les blancs. Aucune raison donc pour l’impérialiste d’intervenir quand des nationaux font leur sale besogne! Ce fut aussi une armée de répression et de coups d’État comme au 19ème siècle. Alors que la police vagissante, peu professionnelle et sous équipée victime des corruptions venant de sa politisation par le régime lavalas, n’avait jamais pu se constituer une véritable force de sécurité publique. L’armée a toujours eu directement ou indirectement le pouvoir de 1934 à 1959 - où, si je ne m’abuse, Duvalier a constitué son corps de macoutes - et a repris tambour battant le pouvoir de 1986 à 1994. La police, esquintée par la politique lavalassienne qui prétendait la former, n’a jamais été au pouvoir. Aujourd’hui, l’Occupation, s’il en est, n’est que le prolongement du désastre militaire hérité des deux cents ans de bévues de nos différentes armées qui se sont elles-mêmes disqualifiées en tant que force publique nationale. Par ailleurs, tous, même le primaire qui étudie l’histoire d’Haït, savent, que la première Occupation étasunienne eut directement comme cause immédiate, l’armée en la personne du général président Vilbrun Guillaume Sam dont le subalterne militaire Charles Oscar Étienne ayant assassiné les prisonniers politiques, a déclenché la terrible émeute du lugubre 28 juillet 1915 dont Wilson et une certaine classe haïtienne ont argué pour faire intervenir les yankees au pays. En septembre 1994, la seconde Occupation étasunienne fut, pour tous ceux qui veulent comprendre cet épisode douloureux de notre histoire récente, encore une fois une conséquence des grossièretés criminelles de l’armée de Cédras et de M. François tristement célèbres par leur gérance désastreuse du coup d’État perpétré trois ans auparavant, trois ans où ils sont allés de la formation du sinistre Fraph (corps de miliciens assassins) aux massacres gratuits de citoyens dans un pays déchiré par le narcotrafic et l’insécurité. Dans les deux cas, pas même symboliquement l’armée n’a réagi contre l’occupant. Pierre Sully est bien solitaire dans sa tombe avec ses convictions de bon soldat! Et puis, du côté de la faisabilité financière, à moins de se voiler volontairement la face et de pratiquer l’autruche analytique, Haïti a-t-elle les ressources pour s’offrir une armée d’effectif suffisant et bien équipée en vue d’une éventuelle protection du territoire, tout en ayant une force policière, elle aussi avec un effectif juste et les équipements adéquats pour le maintien de l’ordre public? La condition exsangue du budget public, ne saurait autoriser la prise en charge financière par l’État haïtien de deux forces publiques. Il nous faut en garder une et la plus appropriée. Dans un pays où chaque besoin fondamental - de la nourriture à l’eau potable, de l’éducation des masses à la santé - est une priorité, à moins d’une cécité critique réelle, il est indécent qu’un intellectuel ou qu’un quelconque individu par intérêt de classe ou de « caste », ou par mentalité de horde, se mêle de vouloir berner l’opinion publique sur cette question de l’armée. La sécurité, étant affaire policière, pourquoi vouloir que ce soit l’armée qui joue à la police? L’armée haïtienne, je le redis, n’a jamais été qu’une force de répression contre les masses et les patriotes, une force féroce à la disposition de la classe du pouvoir mais oncques un agent de stabilité ni de sécurité nationale. À moins que, comme toujours dans l’histoire du tragique existentiel collectif qui est la nôtre, quelques-uns veuillent continuer à bafouer la loi par la baïonnette! Car que l’armée fût nationale ou non avant ou après 1915, le résultat de sa présence et de ses forfaits, fut indifféremment le même : la destruction des possibles d’un État-Nation haïtien, la traumatisation de la société, la fragilisation de toute l’institution étatique et juridico-légale permettant à une certaine classe de disposer du pays comme elle veut et sans résistance institutionnelle ou structurelle. Mais, en fait, même avec une reconstitution de l’armée, cela n’est aujourd’hui garanti vu le nouvel ordre mondial, le tribunal pénal international et l’activité de la société civile mondialement active… Hélas! Le changement est irritable et inacceptable à certains secteurs vétustes attachés aux vieilles méthodes, obnubilés par des privilèges malsains de règne par la force et sans loi! L’Histoire, vous conviendrez avec moi, monsieur G. Michel, est d’abord constituée de ses faits et événements avant toute herméneutique de chapelle, voilà pourquoi elle échappera toujours à la farce ou aux bouffonneries historiennes des uns et des autres, farce et bouffonnerie relevant du genre dramatique et non historique. Toute logique tronquée se révèle paralogisme et vile opinion sans analyse dans les termes, parce que masquant et dénaturant les faits. On ne peut se permettre dans un débat aussi essentiel, cette occurrence si pertinente pour l’avenir de la société haïtienne, éluder l’une des vraies causes de la dérive bicentenaire du pays, je cite la militaire. Nul ne doit se permettre de prendre ses certitudes pour l’évidence voire la vérité. Et dans ce cas-ci, ni fanatisme ni phobie ne doivent primer la raison. Aucune ratiocination, aucune fumisterie, aucun turlupin d’individu ou de clan ne doit non plus faire biaiser le débat social et la décision qui, du pouvoir, s’ensuivra. L’erreur historienne est compréhensible mais qu’il serait abject de fonder le destin de toute une nation sur des plaidoyers captieux, des espèces d’arguties spécieuses et intéressées pour manipuler les consciences en abusant l’opinion publique! L’amour de la patrie nous garde tous d’une telle impudence qui serait purement et simplement antihaïtienne, Monsieur Michel. Tandis que nous demandons à l’exécutif d’éviter toute pusillanimité laxiste face à des commissions représentatives de secteurs suspects de connivence avec des groupuscules ne poursuivant que leur triste et petite vision cloitrée à la lorgnette de leurs mesquins intérêts qu’ils voudraient imposer au pays, je vous prie, Monsieur, d’agréer mes sentiments citoyens les meilleurs et mes plus ardentes salutations patriotiques.
