MESSAGE FROM
JEAN TH. LINDOR, FOUNDER
It is a rich experience when you decide to participate without personal interest in development programs helping the less fortunate in Haiti.  When you improve the socio-economical condition of the poor people, these individuals born in the mountain and/or the valley, or anywhere, you will feel elevated in a high spiritual world.
Jean Th. Lindor

IN MEMORIAM

ELIROSE PIERRE-LOUIS immigrated to the United States from Haiti in 1985 so that she could build a better future for her family. Elirose was a humble and giving woman, always putting her childrens' and coworkers' needs in front of her own. She toiled for years packaging and picking tomatoes in Florida City and worked as a cleaner at Nova Southeastern University.
Though Elirose worked hard, she could not afford health insurance. While picking tomatoes in the fields of the richest country in the world, Elirose passed away at the age of 56. Elirose's death epitomizes the struggles of hard working immigrant families in our community striving to achieve the American Dream.
Without needed medical care, Elirose was not afforded the chance to fulfill her dream. She will be missed by her coworkers, and remembered by workers like her and those fighting for an end to the disparities that lead to poverty and neglect. Elirose is survived by her sons Junior Teanot and Faldor Jean-Rene who reside in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Junior attends UTH Polyvalent University in Haiti. She is also survived by her sons Antonio Teanot and Gilbert Teanot who reside in Canada.
The funeral service was held Saturday, September 29, at NOON at Notre Dame dHaiti Catholic Church, 110 NE 62nd Street, Miami.
